International Missions

Kwetu Faraja
In June 2017, eight members from Cornerstone Church embarked on a mission trip to Kwetu Faraja Children's Home in Tanzania. During this trip, they worked alongside the 34 boys who live at the home, assisting with projects like cleaning and painting the dorms, digging ponds for a tilapia farm, and participating in VBS and community worship. This mission trip was not only about completing vital work but also about building Christ-centered relationships and offering encouragement to missionaries Lori and Paul Knapp.

Our church's connection with Kwetu Faraja began in 2015, with ongoing support through donations and visits. Significant contributions included funding for personal lockers for the boys and supplies for their daily needs. Over the years, our partnership has continued to grow, with additional financial support and efforts to help Kwetu Faraja become self-sufficient. This ministry has provided us with countless opportunities to serve and share the love of Christ with children in need.

Compassion in Jesus' Name
Since May 2014, Cornerstone Church families have been actively involved in supporting children through Compassion International. As of May 2018, at least 10 families are sponsoring children in developing countries, contributing monthly to help these children grow into responsible, fulfilled Christian adults. The Compassion program is Christ-centered, child-focused, and church-based, ensuring that every contribution makes a meaningful difference in the lives of children living in poverty.
